About Us

Moitri is an IRS 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization established in 2022, engaged in the primary role of promoting Bengali culture. We are based out of Maple Valley in the beautiful Northwest. Our anticipated annual event is Durga Puja, and our cultural activities provide an opportunity for the younger generation to learn more about the rich cultural heritage of Bengal and our festivals. OUR STORY BEGINS
2021

OFFICIAL FORMATION

Moitri was officially registered as an IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We held our first community meeting with 25 founding members who shared our vision of cultural preservation.

2022

Our First Event

Our journey started in a small garage in Maple Valley, where a group of passionate individuals came together with a dream to promote Bengali culture in the Pacific Northwest.

2022

FIRST DURGA PUJA

Organized our inaugural Durga Puja celebration with over 200 attendees. The event featured traditional rituals, cultural performances, and authentic Bengali cuisine, marking a significant milestone for our community.

2023

COMMUNITY EXPANSION

Expanded our activities to include Saraswati Puja, Bengali New Year celebrations, and cultural workshops. Our membership grew to over 150 families across the greater Seattle area.

2024

CULTURAL HUB

Hosted a vibrant Dhol Tasha performance celebrating community and culture. The rhythmic beats and energetic procession captivated audiences and showcased the spirit of Bengali tradition.

2025

MUSICAL SHOWCASE

Hosted a mesmerizing live performance by renowned artist Lagnajita Chakraborty, marking her debut concert in Seattle. The evening received an overwhelming response, enchanting the audience with her soulful Bengali melodies
